Orientation of Raw Water Strainer Basket

My Raw Water Strainer Filter (GROCO WSB-750-P) is oriented 'upwards' so that the basket protrudes into my bilge compartment storage area. Please see attached pic. I'm planning on loosening the attachments so that I can rotate the basket downwards out of the way, then re-tightening. Do any of you have any advice for me before I start messing with it?

Just make sure you can remove the bowl once you rotate them. I rotated my A/C strainer to about a 45 degree downward angle to help with priming the system. If it’s pointing straight down, the forward bilge pump interferes.
