I've been lurking here a few days seeing what I can learn. We're in the process of buying a Ranger Tug.

By the way thanks for the Tug cap! It arrived the morning before we left for our Christmas holiday trip.

A question came up yesterday about bottom paint and barrier coating. My question is what type of resin is used in construction of the tugs? Does the factory use an osmosis blistering resistant resin such as vinylester, or some other similar compound?

Hello Gene and thanks for considering a Ranger Tug. We use a vinyl ester resin for all of our fiberglass. Should not be a concern. Please let the questions flow as I am always happy to help. Happy New years!

Thank you Andrew.

I need to revise my statement after being corrected. We use a vinyl ester resin only on the hull. Sorry for the confusion.
