Having left Fort Lauderdale on the 20th of March, we are now in Jacksonville. The first few days we called our full support boat salesperson - Marc Grove at Wefing's frequently and I have to say he answered our calls weekends, and nights and all. And he knew what we needed to do to solve our assortment of little problems. Thank you Marc! Things are smoothing out now but we only were able to make 1 trip on this new boat before we started so still on a learning curve. Our blog is more about eating well than boating, but it is
http://loopingonthepourhouse.wordpress.com. It's been a little too cold and windy, but the weather seems to be changing and we are having a lot of fun. Safe travel and happy times to all. We are anxious to move into Georgia.

Eating well and boating do not need to be mutually exclusive. You have accepted the challenge of cooking aboard with gusto. Keep us posted on your travels. And, keep those recipes coming in your blog!

I am so excited to read your blog as you go around! Please keep posting a ton, as we will be living it with you from out desks! (And learning what to do/what not to do along the way, when our turn comes)!
Thanks Kathy and Gregg.

Yes please keep the recipes coming!! I know you guys are having a fabulous journey!

We missed seeing Pour House in her spot this trip but good to know where you are!

Thanks for your interest in our adventure and my silly blog. My Dear long term friend Russ, lives in St. Simon, Island. We are saving our laundry for his place and he called today to say he went to Costco today for large containers of Tide and bleach for our laundry. He also was the president of King and Prince Seafood and his wife is a fab cook. We are all foodies. I tried to get them to come to Fernandina tomorrow and voyage with us on to his place, but his wife is in a golf tournament. Will do my best to keep the blog up, but not all Marinas work well and our hot spot needs a new battery. i will likely need a new battery too before this voyage is finished. ha. LIFE IS GOOD! xoxo C

Safe travels! It was great meeting both of you.

Good blog, thanks for sharing....

Nice work on the Great Loop blog Pourhouse, keep up the great posts. Two things of interest for you....have you or are you members of AGLCA (America's Great Loop Cruisers Association)? If not it is well worth joining and flying the burgee, you'll make lifelong friends and have a built in network of members along your trip.....but if you're already members then you already know this. Second, you'll be in the North Channel this summer and might consider attending the North Channel Ranger Tug/Cutwater Rendezvous in Little Current August 7-9. PM me with any questions, interests or thoughts.

Enjoy your Great Loop, its a trip of a lifetime.

Yes, we are members of the AGLCA and if it works out could be fun to attend. My Sis is joining us we hope (lives in Hawaii) i the Great Lakes, so will just have to see where we are closer to that time and what our situation is at that time.

Keep a lookout for the North Channel Rendezvous posts on Tugnuts and let us know when your plans firm up. In the mean time enjoy your Great Loop.
