Our upcoming spring break to San Juan Island

This upcoming weekend April 2nd is the beginning of spring break for our kids. We are planning to go on our first long cruise on our RT29CB from EBM to Friday Harbor. We are excited and nervous at the same time. We have been to San Juan Island many times via ferry, but this is definitely going to be different for us. It's a good thing we have done a few mini trips to Poulsbo and Blake Island and of course the Everett area where we picked up the boat from Ranger (thanks Kenny and Capt Mac) and hopefully learned how to use our boat. We have been looking at charts (not maps) to review our route and options. Hopefully we will learn from this trip, so when we go to the seminar, we have an idea what is going on!
 
Hi Karl and Lisa, We will be doing a similar trip. We are taking delivery on Thursday and Friday and plan to head to the San Juans from Anacortes on Saturday. We will be flying our kids up Friday night for the trip. We are a 31CB with the name Invictus. Hopefully we will meet up with you somewhere at the Islands. Have a fantastic trip.

We are hoping to leave EBM Saturday morning and arrive Coupeville for the night. Sunday morning leave Coupeville to Anacortes via the Swinomish Channel. Monday morning from Anacortes to Friday Harbor for a couple of days and then head home back to Seattle. This is all of course weather dependent and how we feel on changing up our stops. We will have to have a look out for you all. You can't miss our 29, it's the Hero Red! =) Enjoy your new boat! We only owned our boat for 5 months and loving it!

If the weather is a bit rough for a night at the Coupeville dock (it is fairly exposed), I suggest you move over to the Oak Harbor Marina. Reasonable rates and much better protected. Just in case you have some winds. Pretty heavy winds today.
 
You'll have a great trip. I just went over and back to resario resort on orcas island from la Conner on sat and it was beautiful weather!
