Outboard Engine "Well" Not Draining

I have a 2018 Cutwater C302C purchased new and commissioned in Spring, 2018. Where the twin outboards are mounted, there is a “well” underneath that has a drain in the center. This drain has always been slow to drain. I’ve often wondered where the outlet to this drain is. There is now about 5 gallons of water in the “well” (from rain showers) and it hasn’t drained in several days? I tried using a plunger to dislodge any potential clog and it did not work. Is there some other way to get the drain to function?

Hi!

The scupper hose for the slop well will drain right off of the side of the engine pod. I would try to direct spray water into the drain to dislodge whatever blockage that you may have. You will hear water coming from under the swimstep when it is dislodged.
