Outboard motor mount on R 27

I am trying to find the previous posts with photos on a R 27 for a swim platform outboard motor mount. Somehow I am not able to open that thread. Can someone post the thread/link?
Also, when using stainless steel U Bolts on the rail to secure the mount, is it recommended to use some kind of a rubber/gasket material between the U Bolt and the rail to protect the rail from getting scratched and worn? The photos show an auxiliary horizontal stainless tube to secure the swim platform rail to the stern, where can you buy that tubing?

Here’s one of the threads. There are several on this subject. No U bolt needed but you do need to add some stainless tubing. All the hardware can be purchased on line or at West Marine. The Fluid Motion factory may also still stock a kit (the used to).
