Paint For VHF Antenna

The paint on my VHF antenna is peeling off. Has anyone painted their antenna? Any paint used should be RF transparent. I’ve been unable to find a spray paint that I can confirm that contains no metals. In the mean time, I’ve rapped the antenna with white electrical tape.

Never heard of anyone actually painting their antenna. Id be tempted to first try a length of white shrink tubing and see if that works.

There’s a fair amount of discussion on other boating forums. The consensus seems to be just about any polyurethane based enamel paint will do. When my tape starts to wear off I plan on using Rust-Oleum Topside Paint from Lowe’s.
