Pairing remote for thrusters

I recently bought a 2023 Ranger Tug 31CB, lux edition. I replaced the battery in the thruster remote, but I can't see how to pair it. Side power talks about a white button on a black box, but I can't find that on my boat. Where is it??
 
The box in question is located below the dual thruster controller. You’ll need to remove the controller, and the opening is a bit tight, but you’ll need to look down and forward to locate the box. You’ll then need to feel for the button to complete the pairing process.

Where on the boat is the dual thruster controller? In cockpit under sink or elsewhere?
 
So I have to remove the joystick controls to get to the box that has the white pairing button on it, underneath?
 
Wow, what a terrible setup. Every time I change the battery I have to do this?
 
I took off the joystick and with great difficulty was able to push the white button on the RCR-2U transmitter. However, there were no lights on before or after I pushed the button, so apparently it has no power to the transmitter?? Tried to pair with no lights on, which of course did not work. The cables are plugged into the controller, there is power to the joystick. What now? Thanks.
 
There is a switch on the dash (Bottom right side of the dash) that says thruster remote. That needs to be switched on in order to pair.
