part for stern thruster

Happy Thanksgiving!!

One of the deflectors on the stern thruster needs replacement. I found 2 of the 3 small bolts that hold the deflector, the two located on the 9 and 3 o'clock position, had broken away from the deflector. The housing is undamaged.

I tried to locate, on the internet, a replacement deflector. No luck.

Where might I be able to locate a replacement deflector?

Mine broke also - and Ranger was able to get me another one. If I remember correctly, it was made of sturdier stuff - and has been fine ever since.

If you hand the original plastic one they tended to break because of prop wash. Ranger provided us with one made of fiberglass that has worked perfectly ever since. I am assuming you have a 2006-7 since it seems to have been fixed after that.

That is correct. We made a mold off the original plastic ear provided from Side Power. If you need a new part, please contact parts@rangertugs.com for the price of the part and shipping costs. We only use the fiberglass ear on the inboard side.
