Good day fellow TugNuts

Has anybody tried using a portable wood pellet grill on an inverter? I’m looking at the Traeger Ranger for my 31 Ranger (!)

I see thy pull up to 280 watts to get going, after that the energy comes mostly from the wood pellets.

Thank you for your help. See you on the water!

A different setup, but I've used a portable Green Mountain Grill pellet smoker on a 600W Ecoflow power station when dirt camping, it worked great. I'd imagine a Traeger would work fine. I can probably test it on a bigger Traeger Pro Series 22 if that helps.

Thank you! I was just wondering if it would work with the inverter I already have. It’s a moot point for me now, actually. Wife gave me the stink eye at the idea.

Todd, buy it! Blame it on Jasper! He can blame Gus, Gus can blame me and I'll blame Andrew! It's a win-win!
I've often wondered if the Traeger Ranger or the Green Mountain Trek would work on our 31s.

Rule #1, my friend. If The Admiral ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy. See you on the water!

You should check your inverter but most any of them can handle 300 watts easily. If the load drops over time as you say you're golden.

Several Green Mountan Grills work on 12V DC or 120 VC with an adapter. You may be able to run these straight off of the house bank rather than use your inverter. Not sure about Traeger or other brands.

Mine will run the Mircowave, is that about the same draw?
