Performance numbers on R-27

Could someone pkease direct me to where I could find some performance numbers on the R-27? Thanks

I requested this information from Jeff Messmer at Ranger Tugs a few months ago. The report he provided me for the R-27 tested had a half tank of fuel and water, full gear, safety gear and with two people aboard. The information I received did not indicate what the tide, wind or current was doing but here you go:

You will find performance data on the 4BY2 180 engine at www.yanmarmarine.com and you might also google this engine designation for lots of additional stuff. My 2011 R-27 reaches 21.5 knots at 4,200 rpm with a light load, no wind & calm water, with 9.1 gph fuel consumption. With a normal to heavy load, 4,000 rpms, 19 to 20 knots, just over 9 gph. At around 16 knots cruise, the engine temperature is steady at 206 Degrees.

Toni and I have put about 320 hours on our Ranger 27/4BY2-180 in the year since we have owned it. I can safely say that our performance numbers are just as Jeff has quoted. At slack tide we burn one GPH at 6 knots/1650 RPM. We generally run at 1650 RPM for two hours and then run at 3400-3600 for 15 minutes, unless we are in a hurry to get somewhere and then we run at 3400-3600 and then cool down. At our 250 hour service (300 hours total), performed at Atlantic Yacht Basin, they replaced the impeller and engine zinc's and all filters, but the exhaust elbow and turbo looked good. Our engine runs at 192-193 degrees at 1650 RPM and 197-198 degrees at 3600 RPM.

My numbers are consistent with the data Jeff provided. Love running at 10 K at 3.5 gal/hr and with the tide get 12 k at same gal/hr
