Subject: Personal Photo Album sharing - 2017 Roche Harbour Rendezvous
I managed to find some time to take some photos of our attendance at the 2017 Roche Harbour event. For some TugNuts not able to attend this may be informative. The Photo Album does have some personal stuff so look beyond these for the photos and aerial video footage taken by Jim Favors (new 2018 R-29S Kismet). You may download any photo except for the aerial videos as they are owned by Jim Favors and you should PM him for access to these.
Jim and I got together at 8am one misty morning at the meeting and strolled over to the beach front Tent area to play/use/experiment with Jim's new Mavic Pro Drone. We both have become Mavic Pro drone fans. Jim had more experience (so far Jim has flown his drone 5 times) using his drone than I had with mine... plus I had left mine at home. Jim was a bit apprehensive flying his drone over the water, but with my encouragement he went ahead with it and I enjoyed watching him do this and learned some drone operational skills along the way. I think you will be impressed with his aerial videos. The hovering cloud base framed all the boats in a very North West PNW scene IMO. Jim's drone actually disappeared from my view at times as it went high enough to penetrate the misty foggy cloud.
One of the videos in the Album was taken by my iPhone which I had left in video mode unintentionally. It picked up a lot of banter/chatting between Jim and myself which you might find of interest and amusing as this video footage can be thought of as real 'footage'. You will have to watch it to understand my meaning. I don't think Jim will be upset with this audio capture of our chatting with each other. I found it amusing, and with it being unintentional does not reveal anything unusual or inappropriate. 😱 Oh.... and there's a reference in the audio to Sam Bisset.... but you have to know Sam and his co-workers to recognize it.... Hope Sam doesn't mind about this.
The videos are somewhat large in size so if you have a slow download connection it might take some time for them to become available for viewing (be patient and you'll be rewarded).
Oh.... and there's a reference in the audio to Sam Bisset.... but you have to know Sam and his co-workers to recognize it.... Hope Sam doesn't mind about this.
This type of aerial video footage is really taking off, so to speak. 😀 😉
