I am going to install an electric head in my R25. Where or what might be the best way to capture a 12 volt wire to power this toilet from within the head? Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks

For ours used the wire for the macerator then put a switch for the macerator in the cabinet under the sink. Also converted from raw water to a fresh water flush. Changed the label on the 12 volt panel to say electric head instead of macerator.Best upgrade we made going to the electric freshwater flush. Others swear by composting toilets. We had one on a C-Dory 25 but just didn't care for it.

Thanks for the tip. I will try to search out that wire. I assume it runs along under the sink near the fresh water hoses.
I agree about the fresh water flush. I did this conversion on my last vessel and it made a world of difference. While I have your attention, I also seem to need a new fresh water pump, mine keeps cycling and I have not found any leaking. Getting to this pump seems nearly impossible. It is bolted to the overhead of the helmsman sole and behind the heater. I can pull the heater out somewhat but still can barely reach the pump with only one hand. Wish me luck!

OK, before you replace the pump... Check the fresh water inlet connection on the starboard side of the boat. These things are plastic and inside between the outer hull and the backing to the cabinets under the galley sink you may find a small crack in the plastic where the water lines connect. I've replaced this connector twice so far. Initial symptoms are what you described. Then one day I found water laying in the lower galley cabinets and the fresh water tank was empty...

If that's your problem it's an easy fix.

Good luck!
