My wife, Kathy, and I are new Ranger Tug owners and took delivery of our RT-27 in July.I recently received our US Coast Guard Documentation Certificate with instructions on placement of the number. I would like to know where and how other owners have placed your COD number on your boat. If available and possible, photos would be helpful. Thanks in advance for your input.

I used 3" stencils and colored the number with a black permanent marker, then painted over with clear epoxy.

It’s not a big deal. USCG doesn’t care on our little tugs ..they have bigger fish to fry. just have it on file.

On my Cutwater C26, there was a nice clear spot of fiberglass in the engine compartment, unobstructed and easy to get to when the engine hatch is open. We used 3" black mailbox numbers (Home Depot) stuck onto the fiberglass, then coated with many coats of clear epoxy so it is a permanent application. I keep my annual certificate in the glove box and a copy at home. Congrats on your new boat!
