Looking for suggestions, tips, recommendations, ideas, whatever, for extending our trip from Poet's Cove after the factory get-together the first weekend of June. We are inland boaters and Poet's Cove will be our first time in salt water, so we don't have much practical knowledge about where to go and what routes to take other than what we can get from the Waggoner Cruising Guide and other resources like that. (We have spent some time learning about actual boating techniques etc., and will be going to the upcoming Points North Seminar as well.)

We are thinking we would like to spend two or three nights at Victoria, and we may have time for a couple other places on the way back to Anacortes.

Lots of places!

Canada: Otter Bay Marina, Ganges Marina, Montague Harbor on a mooring buoy, Sidney Harbor Marina and Angler's Anchorage Marina for Buchart Gardens

USA: Prevost Harbor on Stuart Island dock or mooring buoy, Roche Harbor, Friday Harbor Marina, Rosario Marina on Orcas, Jones Island on mooring buoy, Succia Island on mooring buoy, Deer Harbor Marina.

You could easily go two weeks and not stay at the same place twice!

I looked at my calendar and noticed that I penciled in a visit to Buchart Gardens via Brentwood Bay and then on to Victoria for a couple days on our way home from Poets Cove on Daisy.
PM me if you want to buddy boat across and down Haro Strait.

We don't boat there. We bought a salty and moved it to Wisconsin. We learned that the anodes on a salty are different from fresh water ones. I think that fresh water anodes get eaten up more quickly when put in salt water. So, you might want to check. Charles - Honeybear.
