I have a R27, inboard with generator. Resting in the water it has a port list. When floating the boat onto a trailer, is the end result a port list while on the trailer? Is this an issue? Do you position people while loading to remove the list?

What you describe is typical with an R27 with genset. In almost 6 years of trailering her we never had a trailering problem however with that said we used the starboard locker for all of our heavier items we carried on the boat. Even with this I would think the boat would naturally balance out as you pull the trailer slowly up the boat ramp.

I would say it all depends how bad the list is, how far are you towing, and what your personal preference is.

I had a Bayliner 265 which would always list to Starboard whenever there was anything in the holding tank. At first I was very picky about the list, trying to jockey back and forth with the position of the trailer in the water, pushing up on the side to try to balance it, etc. Not an easy task to do when single handed 🙂

If the list isn't severe, and as long as the bottom of the boat is sitting flush against the bunk, or roller, I wouldn't worry about it.

I moved two house batteries ti the starboard side and one thruster battery forward. List gone
