I am thinking of getting a portable generator inverter with the specs listed below if I plug my shore power cable into this would that be enough power to use my water heater, on a 2015 R27 Ranger TUG

Rated amps: 18.3 Amps @ 120 volts
AC maximum output starting watts: 2200W
AC rated output running watts: 1800W
Rated AC voltage: 120 VAC
Frequency: 60 Hz

As Brian said, it will power the water heater. What 27 do you have? the inboard will heat the water while underway. If you have the outboard, you will be surprised at how long the water heater will hold hot water if you had it on before leaving the dock. I carried my Honda for three years on the boat and then finally took it off. I rarely used it and was not too fond of carrying gas just for the few times I needed it. I have a Torqeedo so do not need fuel for the dingy.
