PORTLAND TUGNUTS CRUISE UPDATE

The Portland, Oregon TugNuts Cruise is happening! I’ve heard from about ten Rangers and Cutwaters that are interested so far. I hope you will join us!

Friday, July 14: We rendezvous at The Sand Island Upper Docks. For those unaware, these are a free tie up across from St. Helens, OR. Get there when you can. Call me on the VHF when you get close, let’s use Channel 72. Hail SEA DOG and we can talk about where you will moor and I’ll help you get in. I have checked that no other club is having an event there that weekend, but we can’t “Reserve” a spot.

Bring a dish to share with the group for Friday Happy Hour.

There is no running water or shore power at Sand Island. There are some rest rooms. There is a shuttle boat that runs hourly to the St Helens City Dock.

Saturday, July 15:

Sea dog will provide bagels and cream cheese on dock by the boat. 9am.

Enjoy Sand Island. Great beach and hiking trails, it’s a haven for dogs and kids of all ages. We can run our dinghies across the harbor to the city docks and poke around the Old City of St Helens.

I have reserved a campsite so we will have a “Home Base” on land and access to the camping facilities. https://www.campspot.com/book/sandislandcampground

Sunday, July 16:

Parting is such sweet sorrow as we help each other get underway for home.

Please let me know your thoughts about this event. Send me a PM! There’s time to add activities if you have ideas.

Otter 2012 R29s

Since I have had very little response, lets just skip this one and maybe try again later. It was a great idea, but things happen!

I would still like to meet more Ranger owners.

I am moored at Multnomah Channel Yacht Club, and have Otter, a 2012 R29 Classic.

Happy boating
