Wondering what prices you guys may have paid for your trailers. I am going to start trailering my tug 200 miles and I'm debating either refurbishing mine or getting new and would appreciate your input. Include any options with your prices.

Last year my original trailer was stolen and I had to replace it. My new trailer is a Road King that was put together for me by South Shore Marine in Huron, Ohio. The cost before tax was $7,800. It's an aluminum tandem axle trailer with electric over hydraulic brakes, an electric winch, and a spare tire included. I've been very pleased with it. I've towed my boat from west central Ohio to western New York and to Lake Erie a couple of times. Pulls easy with my Silverado 2500HD and the braking system is excellent.

Check with Andrew, last fall when we bought our boat they had some at half price because EZ Loader made a few too long and not quite to spec. We paid about 5K and they are really nice, all sealed LEDs and aluminum frames.

I just purchased a 2015 Integrity all aluminum tandem axle custom made for a new R25SC. Electric over hydraulic brakes, LED lighting, aluminum wheels with mounted aluminum spare tire. Cost was just over $9,000. The electric over hydraulic brakes tend to add about $900 to $1,000 over the cost of surge brakes, but unless you are only trailering a short distance to the ramp they are well worth the cost, IMO. Last two new trailers I purchased before this one had them and I will never tow a boat this heavy without electric over hydraulic brakes (my trip to launch is typically 300 miles). I did tow a 5,000 lb boat with surge brakes for 17 years before that, until that fateful day when the semi truck lost stuff in the middle of the road, at night, ahead of me and I needed to buy a new boat.

Your on LI? The guy out in S. Hampton only deals in new trailers. Check out Winter's Sailing Center in NJ, last time I talked to Don, he had a few used trailers.
