Does anyone have a suggestion on priming the fresh water pump after winter layover? Is the pressure pump self priming? I have a difficult time clearing the air from the inlet side of the pump. Once it makes the prime I have no problems.
Any suggestions would help.

If you have water in the tank, you should start to see water at the faucet a few seconds after you turn the pump on. There is no real priming action taking place on any RV or boat that I have ever owned. If you have water, the pump will pump it. You might want to check the fittings to ensure they are tight and not allowing air leaks.

You might want to include all hose clamps on your annual pre-launch check list. That includes hose clamps for water, gray/black water, fuel, raw water, and all hull pass through's and seacocks.

Let me second that... It should be pushing water to the galley sink in seconds.... My first thought is to pull the heater from under the helm and check the couplings at the pump... If there is a leak in priming it is likely right there at the pump fittings...

I will check the fittngs that I have access to. 🙁 It has been necessary for me to draw a vacuum on the shower hose to pull water into the pump. I have not found any leaks on the pressure side.

Thanks for the prompt replies.
