Private Messages

Does anyone know why I have messages that continue to stay in my outbox? I just tried to send one to another member and it's sitting idle. I also discovered that I have one there from October. I just never thought to look and I figured the recipient just may not have responded back.

Private messages sit in your outbox AND the recipients inbox until the recipient opens them. Once they open the PM it is no longer in your outbox.

You can configure your preferences for receiving PMs by going to User Control Panel (blue box upper right home page) > Board preferences tab > Edit global setting (menu on left) > select yes/no for various preferences.

It's possible your recipient is not being notified and/or is not checking. It's also possible they are not accepting PMs.
