My 6 month old Promariner 2500 is no longer passing input power to the output circuit.

Measure 122 V on input and 0 V on output. Unit does
not detect shore power.

Looks like the internal transfer switch has failed?

Is there anything I could replace like a fuse inside?

Looks like ProMariner has a 2yr limited warranty. I would get them on the phone to see if it is easily resolved or have them replace the unit.

I have been on the phone with Craig atPromariner.

I hate to pull the thing out ship it back and be without air-conditioning for the summer.

I was looking for a temporary way I could fix it immediately so I can replace it when I don’t need it as badly.

If there is internal fuse I’ll change it and continue writing as it is.

The inverter continues to work and powers the air conditioning flawlessly.

ours stopped passing AC.
I found there are 2 circuit breaker buttons on the forward side - if mounted on port. One was popped. Reset and all OK. Had me scared. could not see, but could feel and reset.

My circuit breaker’s were no popped.

The indicator lights showed no shore power when the volt meter indicated 122 at the input.

hey are sending me another one on the warranty. It will be my third!

Yeah, that automatic transfer switch has been an issue at times. You could temporarily bypass the unit to get shore power, but because your unit is a combination charger you won't be charging unless you then run a line to the unit after disconnecting the output to the panel. Installation of a manual transfer switch is a good safeguard against the internal transfer switch failure.

The inverter portion of the ProMariner still works.

By the symptoms, the problem seems to be on the input lead of the ProMariner. There is 122 volts on input and the charger and output are both at zero.

Not a terribly serious problem - since my ProMariner is installed on the Generator circuit, not actually the shore power circuit.

When I bought the first unit, I had read about the transfer switch and the problems with the inverter taking up the load when at the dock if the shore power failed - both annoying if on the Generator circuit but Serious if on shore power - since I keep a small air conditioner running 24/7 to keep the humidity under control. I also run a small air purifier to keep the out of the air as much as possible.

So, all I really lose is the generator when we try to sleep at anchor in a breezeless night at 90+ degrees here in South Florida.

New one will be here this week and we can try again.

In the meantime, the under way air conditioner is working fine.

Thanks everyone for the help. /Stu
