Does anyone know why the orange (charge) light on Inverter "Blinks"? I recall it use to be steady orange. It does have 14.6 volt output.

I think Promariner refers to it as a yellow light. That usually means it is charging can't remember if it is steady or blinks. I looked in the manual and it makes no reference as to it blinking or steady.

I'm not exactly sure why it would be blinking. It may blink while charging batteries to their full" state then turn to a steady light once they are at there "full" state. I can look into this some more and let you know.

Thank you,

Thanks Kevin,

It use to be steady, but now it blinks then goes directly to Green Standby. My solar indicator is orange (yellow) until I recycle inverter to blinking Yellow. Then solar light turns green. Voltage output of inverter is around 14.5 Volts when blinking yellow, drops to 13.5 when Green.

Mmmmm, this sounds like a good question for ProMariner, have you tried contacting them about this issue? If not I would reach out to them. Here is their tech support line:

Thank you.

I will, thanks.

I am not sure why your solar panel light is changing colors. It should be green when functioning. I seem to remember the yellow light indicates a fault, no charge from the solar. The solar and promariner are two different systems.

Hi Kevin,

Talked to ProMariner tech and he said that Yellow light is steady during reconditioning mode then Blinks when it is about to enter into float charge mode.

The boat got pretty wet during Irma so I will have to check on the solar charging.

Thanks,
Doc

If you do not have a jumper at the external thermostat connection and it gets wet a fault will occur. The wetness causes continuity and when it drys out it thinks it lost the sensor. I would do a reset: In the following order - pull the in line fuses to the batteries - disconnect yhe red lead from the solar panel to the controller. be careful it is live. - reconnect lead from solar panel to controller - inset in line fuses to batteries. Everything should be reset and hopefully green light.

Thanks "knotflying" I will try that.
