Promariner combi 1500 hum

Last time out of Newport Or in My 2011 R25sc I noticed a loud hum coming from the promariner Combi 1500 unit. Sure enough, when I went to look at voltage meter it showed between 8-10 volts while running in charging mode. Since I am not proficient with electronics I am looking for advice in trouble shooting. Is this an alternator issue or Promariner or is there something I am missing completely? The shore power mode still seems to be functional. Any help would be appreciated.

Promariner has a troubleshooting guide. I believe it's available on their site. When my 1500 QS died, I discovered that promariner no longer makes the combi units so I went to a separate battery charger and inverter. There are numerous discussions on this forum about the combi and troubles with them.
