Promariner Combi 1500QS

Well I actually went thru the trouble to graph the voltage output on each charge leg while the acr was disabled and it showed different voltages during the charge cycles for each bank. That result prompted me to make this a permanent feature on my batteries to disable ACRs while on shore power

stwendl - What battery charger do you have?

The Blue sea charger literature seems to indicate that it has the capability to charge the three banks individually as well as disable the ACR's. With the Blue Sea charger, disabling the ACR's requires additional wiring (w fuses) from the ignition side of the system.
With the Pronautic 3 bank charger disabling the ACR's seems to be an optional effort since the charger charges all three banks from a single charger. With the Pronautic, the only reason to disable the ACR's is to let the charger control the combination of batteries, if for no other reason than to not have two possibly conflicting controllers.
I'm leaning toward the Pronautic 1220 for my charging needs with a separate inverter (brand undertermined) to follow.
That will solve my dockside charging/battery maintenance needs while spreading the cost of replacing the Promariner combi unit out further. I have the generator to run if AC voltage is needed on the hook. I have the electric stove so have to run the gen anyway for serious cooking. Also the separate inverter like a Kisae or Xantrex has a smaller footprint so I get a bit more storage in the stbd cockpit compartment as well as less concern about water intrusion to the combi unit.
Again, thanks to all who chimed in with advice and their knowledge, I really appreciate the info exchange and alternative solutions.
