Prop damage on R31

I hit a submerged object while traveling about 17kts, recently, likely a piece of wood and immediately felt vibration. I stopped put it into reverse and still felt it a bit. Could see nothing while looking under the swim grid, so slowly started going forward again and nothing abnormal happened till I reached 8 kts and then vibration started again, so I limped back to Canoe Cove, my marina very slowly.
I used a GoPro to look at the prop and one of the blades seems to be straightened, so I'm having the boat hauled this week and likely to have to get the prop worked on. Steve Phillips says he had a Cutwater with a similar issue recently and it cost about $1000CAN to fix.
My question is does anyone have a similar story and what costs were involved versus getting a new prop?

Not sure about the size of your prop, but I can't imagine it being much larger than my 27. I had a prop ding and it cost me $295.00 US to repair. Perhaps more damage, more money. I did buy a new prop that I carry with me. I paid $895.00 US for a new prop.

Thanks for your post. I had my existing prop fixed for $400CAN, so it was not as badly damaged as envisioned, so turned out ok and did not consider a replacement.. Jim
