Prop shaft removal

Hi there,

For R25 W/ 1 1/4 shaft

Wondering what is the size of the nut holding the coupling to the propeller shaft?

Can’t visibly see it and can’t get a measuring tool between the coupling faces.

Removing shaft to add a dripless seal and new cutlass bearing

The nut should be 1 7/16" in size. However, I measured an older shaft here with the nut still on it—it came from an R29—so it could be slightly smaller or larger.

Thank you much appreciated, it’s a 2014 which forgot to mention. That dose track though and I assumed it was either 1 3/8 or 1 1/2 so 1 7/16 makes sense. I have a 1 1/4 and it’s too small.

I have a socket at home that I bought specifically for removing those nuts, but I don’t remember the size.
