Has any one with an 2008 R25 replaced their Wallace diesel stove /heater with a drop in propane unit?

I had a Wallas on my last boat. If you remove the Wallas, what will you use for heat? If you need the Wallas for heat you may consider one of those portable chef stoves. Didn't answer your question, but thought I would point out an alternative in case you did not think of it.

I replaced the electric stove that was original equipment on our 2010 R25.
Converted the stern ice chest / fish tank for the propane tank storage. Not a difficult job except for running the inner duct for the propane line. The replacement two burner stove required a little cutting of the fiberglass electric stove hole. Also placed a stainless steel splash shield on the bulkhead of the head.
