I just purchased a 2016, R-31. The stove is electric, and the dinghy will have a torqueedo. I don't have a need for the propane locker, so my question is, how do I remove the propane locker from the swim platform? Is it as simple as removing the screws from the flooring of the locker?

I never had one, but it seems to me to be pretty simple. If there are screws on the bottom take them out and the locker should come off.

Don't care about your propane locker, just wanna know if the new boat will be carrying the authentic tug boat bumpers?
If not, lemme know.

John and Tracey,

Congratulations on your new boat!!!! Enjoy it in good health!

Congratulations on the boat! We use our swim step locker to hold spare oil, cleaning solvents, and the small propane canisters for our BBQ. Anything that might emit fumes that we don't want seeping into the bilge and creating a fire hazard.

Thanks everyone for your input and well wishes.

John,
What did you ever do with the propane locker? I've never seen one up close on the swim platform.
Wondering if it might be a nice addition to an R-27?

Did you get my long message about being towed back to Oxford again, this time from ~St Michaels.
New fuel pump. Working good, so far. Haven't got the bill for the pump yet, but towing was FREE !!!!!

Thank God for TowBoatUS.
