My propane bottles need to be replaced because they are pretty rusty. I'be wire brushed and panted a few times, but they just don't like the elements. The last two times I brought them to be refilled (two different places), I was warned that they might not fill them again because of their condition. They also weep rust onto the swim platform.

Does anyone have a source for an option that will fit in the propane locker of a R31? I haven't had any luck finding fiberglass ones. I'be seen them for larger tanks, but not these.

Suggestions?

Thanks,
Bobby

I saw some aluminum tanks at West Marine the other day. Don't know anything about them. Made by Worthington.

I think those aluminum are too tall for the locker.

I coated my bottom half of the tank with Flexseal and also keep it enclosed in a plastic bag. Going on 11 years now. Tank may age out before it rots.

My tanks seem to be rusted (stuck) in place. Anyone have a tip on how to remove them?
Thank you,
Peter
