I have an R21EC which is normally parked on its trailer in the front yard of my house (located in rural Victoria, Australia). Last week somebody tried to steal the propeller by forcing the prop retaining nut undone (without removing the split pin!!). Fortunately the prop was on tight and the crims obviously didn't have a prop puller with them. Nevertheless the prop retaining nut has gone missing and I need to replace it.

I have tried the specialist fastener suppliers but without a sample they cannot suggest the correct item.

Does anyone know the specs of the nut (diameter, thread pitch etc), and/or even better, where I can procure a new one?

Unfortunately, I don't have those specs, but I do have the part numbers and the supplier. Here is the information we have for the R21. Includes part number and supplier. Hope this helps

prop shaft 1"x41" w Kansaki coupler FLUDPSAT1.0X41.00Y Marine Hardware
1.0 x 42 MS15 (42.25") FLUDPSAT1.0x42MS15 Marine Hardware

Thanks Jason.
Unfortunately that doesn't mean much to the marine suppliers here in Australia! However, I am very lucky to have an outstanding marine workshop at my local slipyard, who have actually manufactured a nut for me from a billet of 316 marine stainless steel! (It cost, but at least I am back on the water!!)
