I'm in the process of buying a 2011 R-21ec named " EQUINOX ". Discussions under the heading of R21ec propellor suggest that the propellor was changed increasing it's pitch. I don't know if the factory was involved in this process. My haulout and survey is scheduled for Monday the 27th. What number propellor should be on this boat. A part # would be of great help if it is stamped on the prop. As I'm buying the boat from a brokerage, information from the current owner may be difficult to get in a timely manner. Any info you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

This may not be of help but I have a new, spare, propeller for a 2016 R-21EC for sale for $200 plus shipping if you need one. I can take a picture and post the part number if you are interested.
Thanks Bob

Thank you for your reply. If you post the part # I can compare it with what's on the boat during the haulout/ survey ( Aug. 27 ). If it doesn't agree and if the factory says the one on the boat is not acceptable then yes. If the purchase goes thru, I will definitely be interested in yours as a spare also. Thanks again

I guesss that the prop you want is the one that runs a fully loaded boat fuel water supplies and crew up to the engine redline and then some past that number. If not then the pitch is too great.

Your right. That's the rule I followed with outboards. Guess I'll wait until I can load it down and see. Thank you

If you look in my photo album in the R21EC folder you'll find a picture of the spare prop I have that matches the part number of the prop the factory installed on the 2016 R21EC. The part number is 650 13x12.125V R1"
Hope this helps. Bob

Thank you Bob, I've tried sending you a PM. It's my first attempt. I'm new to tug nuts and don't know if it's ok to put my phone # on this page. Thanks. Larry ( The Grouch )

There is no rule against including your phone number in a post. But, while you must be a member to post, the public and search engines have the ability to read postings. Sending via PM is more secure.

Important thing to understand about sending PMs. They aren't pushed to the recipient like emails or text messages. They sit in their Inbox and your Outbox until the recipient checks and reads your message.

Cheers,

Bruce
