Time to bottom paint our 2010 Ranger R-25.

We are considering Propspeed and Propglide to tread the running gear (prop, rudder, trim tabs, and thru hulls.

Any experience with Propspeed or Propglide (less expensive, same stuff??)? Thanks! /Stu

I have used pettit barnacle barrier, A bit expensive and you have to mask things out because it is a spray. I then switched to cold galvanized paint. You brush it on. It worked fine for me, but Gansett Ranger seemed to still get growth on his running gear. I think it all has to do about water salinity.

Having used neither of these products, I regard my trim tabs as a flourishing source of emergency rations (mussels)!!

Seriously, I am quite tired of removing the mussels and barnacles from trim tabs and rudder. I will eagerly await recommendations..

Sue,

Cooking the mussels is a great idea - maybe I'll skip the propglide.

How do you prepare and cook them?
