I am finding that the shoreside connection will not fit under the stainless steel rail on our 2010 R 25 SC. Seems like the rail should have been higher or the deck mounting plate should have been installed with a slight angle toward the stern.

Two possible solutions come to mind.
First, you could could make an angled or wedge shaped collar out of Starboard to fit under the deck plate to set it at a more appropriate angle, or second, using a longer length of hose you could relocate the deck plate to a more accessible location.

I have found the same thing. I was surprised that the size of the pumpout hose fitting was not taken into consideration in the design and placement of the holding tank outlet and/or the railing . My experience is that some pumpout fittings will work but just is case I also made an inexpensive adaptor out of PVP fittings from a local hardware store(one threaded male adaptor, 2 elbows and a straight adaptor, if I remember correctly). When assembled there is just room for it to screw into the holding tank outlet fitting and extend outside the railing allowing the pumpout hose fitting to connect to it. So far I have had to use it twice and it worked fine.
