Purchasing across borders

Hello folks,

Living in the eastern side of Canada we don't have a large volume of used rangers tugs, I have managed to get myself a r21 but want to upgrade within the next few years. Has anyone purchased a boat from the US and came back with it, any warnings or watch out doing this? Coming through customs?

I towed my R25 home from Maryland to New Brunswick three years ago. It is pretty straight forward, painful paying the tax at the border. There is more paperwork for the trailer than there is for the boat for sure. You want to have your insurance in place before the purchase and pickup. Hopefully the exchange rate will improve! If you have specific questions I will try to answer!

Check with Ryan at Lefroy, then are the dealer and may be able to get you a used boat and thus handle all the paper work.
