Just saw this on line for anyone having coffee machine issues with their inverter. Or anyone just looking for an inexpensive inverter. I have not tried or know anyone who has used , but looks like a deal at $550 CDN if it works as described.

They look like a good deal. If you convert the CDN price from Costco to your strong USD I think you will find they are close in price 🙂 However these are not marine grade and would need to be placed in a protected place in the cabin so that could be a draw back with space and noise.

Further, the owners manual shows that this inverter has 4 GFI outlets and that the total power is allocated between the four. Full power is NOT available through any individual outlet. So effectively not 2500W.

The inverter may produce 2500 W (most likely peek for a short period) but the max you can provide a normal outlet is 15 amps about 1600 watts or you get involved with non standard plugs. Your coffee pot will work just fine.

Todd, I read/understood that the 2500W was distrubuted between the four outlets meaning that only about 625W would be available through one plug. The Nespresso needs 1600W. You are understanding it differently. Help me pls.

Did not read the manual but there has to be some overload protection someware. I would guess, based on my experiences with other inverters and generators that you will find two breakers/fuses, one for each duplex outlet set. This would allow about 1250 watts each. Should be enough for a coffee maker.

I wrote to SunForce on July 1 asking "Is it possible to hard wire this inverter into a marine application with one
full 2500w output wire to an AC panel?" And yesterday got an answer saying "Yes, the unit has a hard-wiring module to the left of the main outlets."

Wow that is great news. Still think you would need to be careful with mounting as I am not thinking it is for marine.. But is a good alternative ... Don't forget that one of the reason's the Pro mariner that we have is expensive, besides being marine , is that on mine anyways ,it is also a charger, and converts over seamlessly. But if mine breaks again, I will just leave it in place to use the charger and look at one of these for sure.
