I have a 2013 Ranger Tug 27.
I removed the seat in the aft berth compartment years ago which made the space much more usable.
A person looking at the boat to purchase wants the seat to possible install it.
I have the seat and it has two hinges attached to the bottom.
The mounting block on the port side of the compartment is still there.
But there seems like there is some type of metal swing mechanism that attaches the seat to the block.
Does anyone have a picture of how the seat is attached to the compartment side they could send me.
Maybe a picture including the seat folded against the side, and one extended.
Is there also a pole for the seat.
If there is extra hardware needed, does anyone have an unused set they would sell.
I understand many people take the seat out.
Thanks,
Dick Keith

The hinged to which you refer should be screwed to the sidewall block. The hinges are the swing mechanism.

Yes, the pole is a SS tube 18.5 inches long. Protective pads (plastic insert) are fitted at each end.

I took the seat out of my R27 11 years ago. However, I can send you pictures of a mock setup I took in my workshop. They show you all you need to know. If you want the images PM me with an email to which I can post them

I also took the seat out on my 2012 R27. Definitely increases the usable space. My SS seat support post is stowed in two plastic clips just aft of the 120V outlet that is in the cave. HTH, Gary
