Quick Survey - How Long Have You Owned Your Ranger Tug?

Bought my R21EC new at the Victoria BC boat show in 2014. Meter at 2080 hrs.

We ordered our 2015 R25SC in January of 2015 and took delivery in May of 2015. Used it 5 summers and put about 270 hours on her. Retirement is next June so we expect to spend many more nights aboard. It has been a relatively trouble free boat and done everything we expected her to. We have tentative plans to get a R29 some day but really hate to give up this boat so we need to decide if after retirement owning two boats makes sense.

Two years in May. R-25C Trailer all the time from Port Huron Mich.

Thanks for sharing. Lots of repeat owners and long time owners. That's terrific.

Going on our 3rd year. We downsized from a 32’ cruiser and have never looked back. Wonderful boat, great company, and a whole new way of exploring the Great Lakes and east coast. Lots of Tugnuts owners to meet and share stories with.

We bought our R27 Gratitude in September 2012 and still love her as much today as we did the day we brought her home.

I took delivery of my R-23, Mystery Girl in July of 2017. As of today I have 1,242 hours on the hour meter. It is a great boat for the type of cruising I do.

RT 27 2011, towed about 20,000+ miles just turned 2000 hours, presently in the Bahamas, Rock Sound, Eleuthera heading for Long Island, if weather cooperates. Next summer the St. Lawrence to Maine. Barnacles have a tuff time finding the Alice J. Shout out for the light green hull color.

We are very excited to be brand new members of the Ranger Tug family after years of dreaming. Closed on our claret red 2011 R29 Classic in November - formerly Island Ranger and soon to be Skookum. Looking forward to seeing many of you on the Salish Sea in the near future.

How Long Have You Owned Your Ranger Tug?

Eleven years - divided by 4 boats! a new 2010 R-25 (classic) for 6 yrs, a new R-21EC for 1.5 yrs, a new R-27/OB for 1.5 yrs, and now a new 2019 R-29 CB NW Edition splashed March 2019 that I operate solo most of the time.

Kiorana, 27’classic Ranger tug. Dreamed about for years, owned since May 2019. Now dreaming about an R29s...but it won’t fit in the barn. My horses were there first!

I bought my 2013 R29 in September 2016 so almost 3 1/2 years.

OK, I will bite: 11 years and 3 classic tugs:

2007-2013 our beloved Laurie Ann, a 2007 Ranger 25 classic
2013-2015, Andiamo, a 2012 R-29 classic that took us on the Great Loop
2017-2020, Trilogy, a 2012 R-27 classic that we store and use on the east coast, leaving our floating home, Tribute, our Kadey Krogen 39 Pilothouse trawler in Puget Sound.

3 years 31CB and Love it

13 years. R-25 Ranger, Hull #7. Before they were called classic.

Just about a year now- bought her during last years super snowstorms that hit the PNW. After waiting weeks for the weather to break, we finally had an semi favorable weather opening for the sea trial and took and it. Well she nearly jumped the dock at Camano Island State Park due to heavy winds but rode the choppy water like a champ. I fell in love and gave my smitten husband the thumbs up. The wee boat has a lot of spunk and handles rough water well though I am not one to want to test her limits. My favorite thing is the large cockpit for outdoor enjoyment while underway and at dock. We have had no regrets and had a blast on her last year, making many three day long trips and spending some really fun times boating to and staying at marinas all throughout the Puget Sound. One of my favorite trips was an overnighter from Bellingham to Anacortes because of the approach that allows one to see the refinery and huge tankers from the water. Dreaming of this years boating and the Seattle Boat show, a family tradition for the past 20 years, with grandchildren now in attendance.. We've made many improvements for our personal comfort and storage and will hopefully be building a hardtop this year if we have the time so we have a place to store the kayak and a solar panel and attach side panels to..

I'm flying out to do the marine survey on a Ranger Tug 29-S during the last week of January. So maybe I'm Minus Two weeks of ownership?

😀

I've had/owned SCUTTLEBUTT for 8 fishing seasons, am hoping for a few/lot more, God willing!
