R 21 EC Discontinued

I don't recall exactly but around 2012 Ranger Tugs switched from using Yanmar to Volvo engines for the R-21EC. That maybe a reason your looking for.... but obviously I dunno.

My MY 2013 has the Yanmar engine. I believe 2014 was the first model year with Volvo.

That's an anomaly IMO as my 2016 R-21EC model was built in the Ranger Tugs Kent factory during July/Aug of 2015 and it certainly had the Volvo engine.

Did you buy your R-21EC from a dealership or directly from the factory ?

Are you absolutely sure it was built in Aug 2016) ?

The factory switched back to the Yanmar on the R21EC around 2016 per this thread (see Andrews post).

Woweeee, that switch back to Yanmar must have been due to the Volvo recall per the emission issue. Thanks. 🙂
