I recently purchased a 2018 Ranger Tug R23 (we shall call her the Slow Drift). How the heck does one sync up the trailer signals with the lights on the boat when towing? Do I need a special connection and where on the boat does it hook in? I cannot figure it out. Thoughts?

I had to get an adapter, the trailer was 9 pin, and my receptacle is only 7. Take a picture of the trailer's plug (pin side) and the receptacle on your tow vehicle, visit a trailer supply store, they should be able to hook you up. (pun intended)

I'm sorry, been so long since I looked at it. The trailer is 5 pin flat, so you need an adapter from 5 pin flat to whatever your tow vehicle is.

There should be a cable for the boats "trailer" lights in the anchor locker on the boat. Your trailer should have been wired with a connector spliced into the trailers wiring for the boat to plug into. On my trailer, my dealer missed wiring in the reverse lights and I still need to fix that.

thanks peeps.... all great responses. I have not looked in the Anchor locker.......
