Hi everyone,
We were so excited to get to the launch today to start the season (beautiful day here in Detroit). Apparently, I messed up while re-connecting the batteries. There was smoke coming out near the ignition/shifter! I had a red wire on the negative post! I think I got all the connections sorted out, but the engine is still not lowering and turning the key does nothing. Makes me wonder if i really have all the wires connected properly. Does anyone have a photo or diagram of their battery hook-ups? Our boat is a 2018 R23 with the 200HP Yamaha, with the engine battery is on the port side all the way aft (hard to access!). The two house batteries are next to it and the thruster battery is on the port side. Thruster works, bilge pumps, Garmin are all working fine. We have the ABSO charger and the Blue Seas ACRs.
I am wondering if I blew a fuse on the outboard, going to check those tomorrow. Dang, it's always something!
Many thanks in advance for any input!
