R 23 v-berth dimensions ?

Please, whatare the dimensions, length and width? Is one side shorter than the other? I’m 6’3” and my wife is 5’9” and I’m concerned. Also why do you put such firm cushions in the v berth that most people have to buy a mattress topper to sleep?

Length of v-berth on port side is 6’-2” and starboard side is 5’-10”. It is 6’-2” wide towards the stern and the narrowest point at the bow is 1’-4”. Not sure about the firm cushions. I added an additional 3” foam pad to mine. I single hand most of the time and sleep cross ways in the v-berth. This makes climbing in and out a lot easier. I am 5’-11” tall.

As for the hard cushions, just think of them as the box springs, and you get to choose your own mattress based on the firmness you like.
