Subject: R-23's Fighting Lady Yellow hull color ?

What are people's thoughts about choosing the Fighting Lady Yellow hull color ? I kind of like it. It's distinctive and can be more easily seen amongst the backdrop of grey/blue/white seas IMO.

For our previous R-25 (Classic) I chose a bright yellow hulled Portland Pudgy for the swim step mounting and other boaters claimed they could see me from as far away as 2 and 3 nautical miles. I assign 'safety' to having a color that can be seen easily.

No such thing as a bad color for the RT.. my fav is the green, then gray or red, then yellow or blue. Ive heard lighter colors are easier to take care of. Dont have a tug yet, but once the house is sold, I'm in!!

We love the yellow! But were advised that it can hurt resale so we went with red

Upon research I've been told...

• Midnight Blue is the most popular and is also the safest for resale.
  Claret Red is the second most popular.
  Ranger Gray and Hero Red are also popular.
  The lighter colors are popular in the southern states but are not as popular in the northwest.

Yellow would definitely subtract from resale unless a person with unique taste happens upon it.

My two favorite colors are the yellow and the light green. Big plus with these colors is that they won't fade as much as the darker colors.

While the yellow, is a newish color for Ranger Tugs, other boats have worn this color for a number of years.

It's completely a matter of personal preference.

The color that you like the best, is the color that you should go with.

We just bought a new R-23 in dark blue (my wife's color choice) but I like the yellow too. I already had the name of "Sunflower" pick out for it!
