I've been thinking about improving my cabin heater lately, however before I start, I thought I would ask you factory guys what you think. I would like to install a small return air grille in the removable panel behind the helm in birth area, so as the heater is running, it would draw air from the birth area, and provide some heat in there as well. In addition, it would seem to me the heater would work more efficient since it will be recirculating just cabin air instead cabin and bilge air, since the heater now draws it's intake air from behind the galley area through the louver doors. As a bonus, I'm hoping this mod would result in a little less odor from the bilge area as well.

I haven't removed the heater yet, so my question is, is there a facility on the heater to hook a duct hose to the input of the fan where I could run this same duct to a grille.

Thanks in advance!

This sounds like a great idea but I am not sure how you would hook a duct hose to this. I will Attach a picture of the backside of the heater. I dont think this heater is made to be ducted.
