Looking for Transducer location on a 2007 R-25. It is not reading and I would like to check fluid levels.

Not sure what you are asking - if you are looking for the depth transducer, mine is in the aft cavity on the starboard side and under the access door under the live well. But I don’t understand what “fluid levels” you want to check. Hope this helps!

On our prior r27 the transducer was located port aft and under the floor boards. You unscrew the cap by pressing down and turning the top. The fluid should be about 1. 1/2 oz of antifreeze, check your manual or online for proper amount based on your transducer. Watch out you don’t loose the O Ring washer when you take the cap off as this seals n the fluid.

On our classic R25 I accessed the transducer from under the stern live-well. Lift up the double-hinged lid and have someone hold it all the way up, or tie it off. Lift out the live well bin. Now you have access to the stern cavity. Get a headlamp or flashlight and dive in head first and look way over towards the starboard side, down on the hull, just inside the transom. As mentioned, the lid comes off with a small twist, clean the o-ring and cup, refill with pink RV anti-freeze, and reassemble it all. Have helper pull you back out by the ankles. Done. Grab a beverage, you've earned it! 🙂

I believe it is supposed to be mineral oil, not anti-freeze, although anti-freeze would work. Minieral oil is supposed to transmit the sound pulses better, but it can cause 3M 5200 to fail.

I have a 2014 R27, the transducer is located under the black water tank in the stern lazeratte.
I used mineral oil - airmar says either work - the non-toxic antifreeze, the stuff one uses at cocktail hour or mineral oil.
Someone pointed out to me that the non-toxic variety is easier to see if it leaks[emoji2369]
