Can anyone provide some advice on the following:
I was in Martha's Vineyard a few weeks ago and sucked up seaweed straw in the rear thruster! It stopped operation and still makes clicking sounds and the prop moves with my hand, but will not function .The pin still works. I feel it may be a white porcelain fuse, the fuse looks int between the red heavy duty cables of rear thruster. How can I pull that fuse out? Will I get shocked? How many amps?
Second issue, my right trim tap stays down and lost HFuild and the spring is exposed. Any idea what size the Bennent one is? What type of glue do I need and where is the place to re-fill the H Fluid
Do I measure the closed or extended length, or top to bottom with the fasteners or just the pump ?
Has anyone installed the trim tab themselves.

One more, I bought the electric pump to extract the diesel oil to do a basic oil change and it took 45 mins to get 7 qts out.
Any ideas how to create a steady flow out?

THANK YOU for any mechanical thoughts on these items.

With a multimeter, the thruster fuse can be checked for continuity without removing it. There is no possibility of electric shock performing this test. If the fuse needs replacement, there are nuts that hold the slotted ends of the fuse onto bolts that have to be loosened to remove it. The fuse is an SMANL-150.

If the spring is exposed on your trim tab actuator, you’ve got a significant problem that you should have corrected by a professional familiar with Bennett trim tabs.

To extract engine oil, the engine should first be run to warm the oil.

Thanks for taking the time to give me info.
The oil was warm after a 10 min run, I'm thinking perhaps the tube must be bigger to create a seal??
