When running both or either of the AC units on the boat I get a E1 error. I understand it’s related to cooling water, however I have made sure the coolant line is filled and valves open. Also I have primed it by loosening the bolts around the pump as my dealer instructed me. Still the units throw the E1 code, what’s the solution here?

That error is a compressor high pressure warning and usually has to do with cooling water. Its very important to not continually try and run the unit as repeated E1 errors can cause permanent damage.

That said, check your strainers to make sure they are clean. How is the flow coming out when the unit running? A dribble out, or a nice arcing stream?

You may not be this lucky. Last summer we were in the Solomons (Chesapeake Bay) when we started to get intermittent E1 errors on the main cabin AC. Had a good flow of water. Had a technician go over both units and couldn't fine anything wrong. However, he said that the connection for the high pressure alarm was loose and he tightened it. Since then, and a lot of use of the AC, including several weeks at the marina while the kids were in camp we haven't had any problem.
