Dave, I've noticed that you have your beautiful boat up for sale with less than a year of ownership!
Was just curious as to why your selling it as you can't have more than a few hrs of cursing on it. The reason that I'm interested is that you spent a lot of money for a boat that you no longer want! Did it not meet your expectations or is it not the quality f o r the money spent? As someone that is thinking of up grading to a larger boat I would like to get your perspective on it. Don't get me wrong I love my R-21 but would like to up grade and am looking at all options so far the best quality and price seems to be a notice tug (used) please let me know what your opinion is as I value others opinions. Hi Bob,
Actually we love it and the quality of the boat is great, and yes we have spent a lot on it.
I had it gone through thoroughly, I had a Yanmar dealer go through the engine and I had Platypus in P/A go through the rest.
It runs like a dream.
We added a brand new canvas enclosure and added a new Garmin 8616xsv chartplotter. The chartplotter had a glitch in the software program but Garmin came through and repaired their software glitch and it works great, we also bought a trailer.
I recently talked to the factory about getting a new 31, we saw one at the boat show after we bought ours and really liked it a lot.
Once I sell our R 29 Classic I'll be ordering a new 31.
Since it is a good time of year to sell boats I thought we'd sell it this season and replace it with a new one.
I have service records, manuals and a lot more extras.
