I am trying to figure out if there is a more efficent prop for a r-29 while cruising in the 7 to 10 knot range that
can get better MPG.
I am looking for info for the standard prop. Diameter, pitch, number of blades, rotation, and shaft size. I realize that
the yanmar is rated at 260 hp at 4000 rpm and changing the prop pitch and or diameter will probably not allow the engine to hit 4000 rpm at wot.
Ant thoughts or information will be greatly appreciated.

IMO, the best way would be to get together with a reputable company that sells props. They will make suggestions and let you try them out before purchase. You will have to pull the boat each time you switch props, I don't think there is any way around that. You need an expert that will consider all possible conditions.

If your prop is in good shape you might want to get a good prop shop to put a little "cup" in the blades. I have not tried this with the R-29 but it did work on my old 24 footer with a 325HP gas hog V-8.
