On Friday, October 14th, having a little chat with Mark Mansfield from the factory at the United States Powerboat Show in Annapolis, and wishing for more room and speed in a Tug, he said this is so. Twin engines, cruising speed in the twenties...no other info offered.

Is this old news or did I stumble upon a scoop?

Other future vessels mentioned, a Cutwater 34 in about two years and an R 25 with outboard power but no timetable given.

Hope I'm not opening my big mouth when I shouldn't. 😳

Maybe this means there is a new design for the R25 coming?

If we are going to speculate, maybe the new R25 would take some cues from the R23? If there is a chance that the R25 of the future would have an outboard option, maybe this means the inboard option would be switched to a diesel sterndrive? Would this also maybe allow the R25 to have a larger cabin like the original R25? This might make for an interesting boat. 😉
